Nürburgring, May 19, 1968 : Anton Fischhaber (with Helmut Leuze) drives the Porsche 906 Carrera 6 around the Nordschleife in the 1000km classic. A strong qualifying (13th place on the grid in 9:13.3) is followed by a spirited performance in the S2.0 field. However, an engine failure ends the race prematurely. The Porsche with the number 86, however, remains in the memory as a purist, lightweight prototype and as Fischhaber's outing in the "Green Hell."
