Le Mans, June 23–24, 1962 : At the 30th 24-hour race , Pierre Noblet and Jean Guichet shine with perfect consistency in the Ferrari 250 GTO . While favorites drop out (including the Aston Martin DP212 after a strong early phase, the NART Ferrari of the Rodríguez brothers after 14 hours, the Maserati not stable despite its pace, and Mike Parkes stranded), Noblet and Guichet drive flawlessly through the night, win the GT class, and sensationally take second place overall . A race in which eleven of the first 13 cars are GTs, and Ferrari also celebrates its sixth overall victory (the last Le Mans triumph for a front-engine prototype).
Our art print is a tribute to the sensational achievement of Pierre Noblet and Jean Guichet and their legendary car: the Ferrari 250 GTO .
