935 Pack Socks
The 935 is one of Porsche's most successful race cars. And that's saying a lot when you're talking about one of the most dominant car brands in motorsport. After the dominance of the 911 Carrera RSR and RSR Turbo in the early '70s, Porsche introduced the 935 in 1976. Designed by Norbert Singer, it was an evolution of the RSR Turbo for Group 5, also known as the Silhouette formula. Equipped with a powerful 3-liter turbocharged flat engine, an aerodynamic fiberglass body, and independent coil spring suspension, it won its first (and the next three) Group 5 seasons. Porsche had done it again. In the years that followed, several versions were developed and produced in Stuttgart for the factory team and for enthusiastic customers, while collecting victories and awards all over the world. The fact that Porsche held back some of the best innovations led many private teams to develop their own versions of the 935. None of these were as successful as the German team Kremer Racing, most notably with the Le Mans and IMSA-winning '79 K3. In this set you'll find four designs based on our favorite Kremer racing liveries that wrapped the legendary 935: Vaillant, Sachs, Interscope and Apple.
