The Porsche 917K of the Martini & Rossi Racing team competed in the 12 Hours of Sebring on March 20, 1971. The car, with chassis number 020, was driven by Vic Elford and Gérard Larrousse . As in the previous year, the battle for victory was between Porsche and Ferrari. After several crashes involving the fastest Ferraris, the 917K of Elford/Larrousse took the overall victory .
